EVENTS REPORT
The most recent event held by the club Maritime Mysteries proved to be a most successful and enjoyable day. A good turn out, a wide variety of program items and some nice audience interaction meant that there was an energenic buzz throughout the day. Highlights of the day were Trivial 'Who'suit and learning all about the fate of the spaceship Titanic. Due to the packed nature of the day and a slight technical problem a couple of items on the program did not go ahead, but they have been slotted into the next event.
Winner of the Trivial 'Who'suit was the team of the Edney's, consisting of club Treasurer Phil Edney and his son James. Runners-up in a close contest were the Prydonian Rebels team of Nicholas Way and Jonathan York. Thanks to the other teams who played - the Gallifreyan Time Love Briagde and the Sonic Screwdivers, and to all those others who entered.
Quite a large number of prizes were handed out during the day thanks to the generosity of Matthew Place who donated to the club his entire Doctor Who book collection.
The club also wishes to thank the people both young and old who entered the Masque of Mandragora costumne parade held at the Genesis of the Doctor event. The overall winner was Paddy as the Third Doctor and Renae won the special category for children as "Jo Grant transition to Sarah Jane with K9 and sonic lipstick. Thanks also to Caitlyn, Declan, Caitlin, Sam and Katherine for entering.
