This is a 10th Doctor and Rose book by Jacqueline Raynor, and a bloody good one if I may say so. The only downside I found was probably the twist of the GENIE which, while funny, didn't really match the rest of the book.
Now, something I have to mention. This book is riddled with cute 10Rose moments. But nothing could have prepared me for this scene, as Rose restores the Doctor back from stone:
“A single drop, a liquid emerald, splashed on to the stone cheek of the Doctor. And the cheek became real. Pale flesh, dark hair, intense brown eyes. His tunic rippled back into cloth, ten toes wiggled within his sandals. Arms flexed, and grabbed Rose into a hug. Soft lips pressed hers with a kiss of gratitude and joy and unspeakable pleasure at being alive.”
I had to re-read this several times to make sure it said what I thought it said. It did. The Doctor kissed Rose. No time vortex, no bitchy trampoline, no genetic transfer - just the Doctor and Rose.
