Found out about the animated movie Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

The Clone Wars which is scheduled for release here in Australia on August 14 leads into the animated series of the same name.

The title is confusing considering that there was an earlier series some years also called Clone Wars (but without the "The" in the title) in between the releases of Episodes 2 and 3.

This was barely OK. It was good in some places not good in others.

Ben McEachen in the Sydney Sunday Telegraph gave the film three stars with the headline, "This really is a poor clone of the originals".

In his opening paragraph he wrote:
"Something's up when a new Star Wars movie isn't being screamed from every television ad break and magazine front page."

My thoughts exactly. The hype for this film has virtually been non-existent. Also its release was made during the Olympics when most people's attention would be on that than this film.

A few nights ago saw on 10 Introducing Star Wars: The Clone Wars hosted by Angela Bishop about the history behind the project.

This special was better viewing than the movie itself.

well that was bullocks. Apart from the music being a refreshing change of pace pretty much everything was wrong with that. Clearly a fanfiction.

Dont even get me started on Jabba's story and everything worng with it. Good grief!
