Something that should be of interest for Buffy & Angel fans.

Blood Ties is a vampire TV series which was started before the other recent vampire series Moonlight.

Info on Blood Ties:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blood_Ties_%28TV_series%29

Whereas Moonlight made its Australian TV debut on free to air Channel 9 during the summer, Blood Ties makes its Australian TV debut straight to pay tv on Fox8 Tuesday July 22 9:30pm.

Blood Ties is based on the series of books called Blood Books by Tanya Huff and is about a former cop Vicki Nelson who becomes a private investigator who teams up with a vampire.

Christina Cox who plays Vicki Nelson says in an interview that her character was like Buffy all grown up and being a private eye.

Given Ms Cox's description of her character and the way the other vampire show Moonlight is presented makes me think of Blood Ties as Buffy's counterpart to Angel's Moonlight.

Bad JuJu:
Episode 3.
Not a bad episode about voodoo with an adequate villain.

Gifted:
Episode 4.
This episode is somewhat like School Reunion in that it features the natural gifts of school children being used by a villainous headmaster.
Enjoyable episode with a good guest stint by Gordon Michael Woolvett.

Stone Cold:
Episode 9.
Written by Tanya Huff the writer who created Vicki Nelson in the original novels.
Sad the way that Vicki lost the person she was looking for.
Fun seeing Coreen going undercover.
I felt the resolution was rushed in its execution.
Very tender moment between Vicki and Mike as the episode ends.
