The DWCA was priviledged to have three members present at last nights read-through of Who Knows...it's about life and it's about time, a play based on Dr Who fandom and general megalomania. The play is written and directed by Paul McIntyre.

It's being produced by The Old Nick Company, http://www.oldnick.org.au/, the company who puts on the famous Uni Revue every year in Tassie, and it will run around March/April 2009, about the same time as Ten Days On The Island.

Izzy and Sarah should be getting some previews and piccy's to DE soon. But I can say that it will be a fantastic show. The cast is yet to be confirmed, but Noreen Le Motte MUST be given the role she read for last night.

More later....Your thoughts Izzy???

Yes Dwayne, I think it will be a fantastic show! It is a very interesting post-modern play that many will find very enjoyable, and not only fans but people from outside Dr.Who too. I felt privileged to be able to be at the first reading of the 6th draft. There has been much work and love go into this play!

I do agree that Noreen will have to get her part as the role after her performance on Sunday. I just wished Peter Gee could remain narrator some how with his wonderfully textured voice.

Paul has provided me a blurb for the show, and also the dates as the theater has been booked...

Meet Russell Lambert.
He's about to turn 30.

He works in a Laundromat.
At least he did until he got the sack earlier this week.

He has a Tom Baker Scarf and a fiancé.
At least he did until his brother stole them both.

He's about to become President of the Doctor Who Club of Tasmania
At least he might if he can save the world from the nefarious machinations of the bad guys.

He's not impossible, just unlikely.

Written and Directed by Paul McIntyre.
Produced by the Old Nick Theatre Company.

Peacock Theatre
Feb 27th - March 14th

Smiles, Izzy
