The International Express has reported that David Tennant is planning to leave Doctor Who midway through the fourth series. The supposed reason for this is that since his debut in the latest Harry Potter film, he is apparently deluged with film offers.
Producers are now seeking out replacements, two considerations are Robert Carlyle (Full Monty) or David Morrissey (Blackpool) as potential new Time Lords. |

I'm remaining firmly sceptical until I hear something official from the BBC, but I have to say this doesn't come as a particular surprise. Assuming DT leaves around Series 4, he'll have had the magic three-year stint and I'd expect him to think about leaving around that time, anyway.
As for his mooted replacements, I'd say a definite no to Robert Carlyle (sorry, just can't see him doing Doctor Who). David Morrisey might be good, but I doubt he'll get it - I suspect anyone speculated in the press is automatically crossed off RTD's list. |

Seeing as the light/shade order of the Doctors seems to always work out, I say Robson Green all the way! Go Robson!!
Er, but anyway, I'm pretty sure this was confirmed as a falsehood recently. You know, I can see Tennant staying on for years and years and years. Much like Colin wanted to... |

Surely the contract he would be on would not even let him leave mid-season?
I really can't see the logic in this claim at all..... |
