In the first episode of Doctor Who Confidential it included a recording session on a Big Finish story. The story that was being recorded was Three's A Crowd featuring the Fifth Doctor, Peri and Erimem and guest starred former Second Doctor companion actor Deborah Watling (Victoria) as Auntie. It was released in May 2005.
Recently finished listening to the first episode:
It has been quite a while since I last heard this TARDIS team in their previous adventure Roof of the World (although I did listened last year to the Sixth Doctor tale Her Final Flight which featured Peri) and it seems a very good welcome back to this team.
The story by Colin Brake so far is very good in displaying the mystery, Deborah Watling as Auntie sounds very sinister, the robot Butler (played by Charles Pemberton who sadly died last year) made me think of another robot Joseph the Porter in the Benny series and not a bad first cliffhanger. |

Part 2:
There is certainly intrigue creeping in this episode and the cliffhanger I find to be somewhat adequate if not spectacular.
Overall not a bad episode. |

I decided to listen to the last two episodes yesterday since it was March 26 the third anniversary of that Doctor Who Confidential episode (as well as the Confidential series itself and the current Doctor Who TV series) I decided to finish it then.
Parts 3 and 4 I found to be better than Part 2. |
