The BBC seem to be a little shy about announcing some things they do.

When Doctor Who took a one week break recently to allow Eurovision to pollute the airwaves, they published a short story, The Lonely Computer.

Thanks for the link to this - it was a quite enjoyable little story. I found it very informative - I never knew that Cleopatra was actually Greek (my ancient history teacher confirmed this). I was also interested to find that Caligula was among the great minds, who I've been studying recently.

Laughed out loud when they mentioned Cher Laughing

I quite enjoyed this story.
It was funny when the Doctor said that he never liked celery even though he did wear one when he was the Fifth Doctor.
I too found Cher's appearance funny here especially with Donna saying if Cher could turn back time as well as the Doctor's hesitation of Cher's contribution to Earth.
Love seeing the line of travel broadens the mind which was first mentioned in the season 14 serial The Hand of Fear.

Did anyone notice part way in the story how the Doctor and Donna are trekking through the forest in search of Emperor Charlemagne, with the Doctor carrying a bow and a quiver of arrows strapped to his back hacking at the thick undergrowth.

Then in yesterday's episode The Unicorn and the Wasp, the Doctor mentions his trip to Belgium in 800 and then the next scene actually shows that particular adventure, while he is conversing with Agatha Christie about Hercule Poirot.

This leaves me to wonder as to whether this was intentional or pure coincidence.
