That "5 Things You Need to Know" just before 2-4pm started was cute.
2PM-3PM:
Carlos Bernard just like most of season 1, is credited as "Special Guest Star".
Tony got free because of Jack and President Palmer but unfortunately loses Michelle soon afterwards. (Whether that is because they couldn't get Reiko Aylesworth back for the part, I do not know).
Knew that Marianne wasn't going to get caught at first but she does at the end.
3PM-4PM:
As the voiceover says for next week how is Jack going to stop a man willing to kill his own family.
A very emotional scene of Edgar with her mother.
It seems that Jack's relations with President Keeler is not as strong as with that of President Palmer.
Overall a very enthralling two hours. |

4PM-5PM:
Looks like I was right about the bad vibe I got from Audrey's husband Paul.
Too bad Marianne and Navi are killed off quickly.
Overall this hour was pretty slow in maintaining my interest. |

| TV WEEK has rated 24 to be the What's Not on TV because there is so much plot around asking how we could keep up? Yet at the same time it has rated 6PM-7PM no.4 in its highlights of 29/8. |

5PM-6PM:
It may looked like it's over with the meltdown being stopped but it ain't over yet.
The search for Marwan becomes intensifying.
Someone is going to explain the relevance of Maya killing herself. Perhaps it would effect Erin Discoll's future decisions. |

6PM-7PM:
I really like this hour towards the end.
Quite suspenseful of the defence contractor in hiding its secrets from Jack and Paul.
Now I see the relevance of Erin Driscoll's daughter and her suicide as it allows Tony back in charge for a while. Quite to nice see him the boss again but I certainly didn't expect the person chosen as Driscoll's permanent replacement appearing briefly (uncredited) at the end.
I was watching Kinda Part 3 between 6pm and 7pm last night on the ABC. |

7PM-8PM:
Reiko Aylesworth back as Michelle to my delight gets a Special Guest Star credit. She looks more beautiful than ever.
Sarah's sense of timing in asking about her future at CTU is astounding.
Shocking end to the hour as Paul gets shot. |

8PM-9PM:
Yay, Chloe is back.
Roger Cross is upgraded as a regular
Is Dina really dead? I really hope not.
During the ad breaks there was spoof on 24 in two Rexona ads. The first of a sweaty moment taking place between 8PM-9PM, this episode's hour and something that takes place in New Zealand every day. |

9PM-10PM:
So Dina is dead.
Anthony Azizi (Rafique) had previously appeared in Day 2 as terrorist Mamud Faheen. He also had a regular role in the short-lived similarly themed Threat Matrix where he was on the other side of the terror war.
When someone from Division was mentioned in coming to CTU, I actually expected to be Brad Hammond. Slightly disappointed that it did not turn out to be him.
A nice ending to the hour in the lead-up to what 7 has promised to be the most explosive episode ever.
During the ad breaks saw two Rexona ads which states that this event takes place between 9PM and 10pm (this episode's hour) with a sweaty moment and the other being "The Following Opportunity Takes Place in the Next Hour" in its promotion of the trip to New Zealand.
Also saw Sarah Wynter (Kate Warner) in the Pantene ad. |

10PM-11PM:
I quite like this hour and the ending is shocking.
This marks the first appearance of Gregory Itzin as Vice President Charles Logan. Firefly fans would know him as Magistrate Higgins in that series' episode Jaynestown.
The preview for 11PM-12AM looks very weird.
As before the Rexona ads were on again (this time stating this episode's hour of 10PM to 11PM) as well as Sarah Wynter in the Pantene ad. |

Given the fact that 7 had shown 4-5pm at 10pm last month, it would have been very convienient if they had done the same with 10pm-11pm instead of the usual 9:30. I mean didn't anyone noticed the time. Looks like 7 was six hours early when showing an episode at 10pm. |

11PM-12AM:
Quite interesting to see much of the action being focused on two guest characters.
Very surprise to see the return of Mike Novick.
Rexona ads were shown including their own 11PM-12AM. Once again the Sarah Wynter Pantene ad was also shown. |
