Hello, Smile

I so gotta go see this! This was my first LP ever. Loved it and still do. Importing WOTW into iTunes right now. Smile Did I say I gotta go see this show in September? Smile

Set in Victorian England, this staged musical and multimedia production brilliantly portrays the tale of Martians invading Earth and their terrifying trail of destruction.

This acclaimed musical event will feature Jeff Wayne conducting the 10-member Black Smoke Band and a 40-piece String Orchestra, a stellar cast including:
- Justin Hayward (Moody Blues) and Chris Thompson (Manfred Mann) both re-creating their roles from the original album and the recent sell-out UK tour
- Australias Shannon Noll, Rachael Beck and Michael Falzon
-in sight and sound one of the worlds greatest actors, Richard Burton as The Journalist.

PLUS: Outstanding special effects including super wide screen CGI animation and the amazing 30 foot martian fighting machine!

Dont miss this once-in-a-lifetime epic extravaganza, out of this world entertainment, unlike anything to have hit these shores before.

*sits in corner and rocks backwards and forwards in fetal position*

I don't know about that... i mean, I would like to see it, but then again, i wouldnt...

it's the scariest thing i've ever heard. i heard it when i was much younger, and i guess you could go so far as to say it scarred me for life.

i still can't listen to it without nightmares. (except the song 'Forever autumn, the one at the end of the cd where it's just the song without the voicover. i LOVE that song!)

but maybe if i saw it, and could see the images to go with it, it wouldn't scare me so much anymore... that's why i can watch HARDCORE psychological thriller horror movies without a problem...

what do you think?

this version of war of the worlds scares the living S*** out of me. would it be worth seeing, or should i stay in my own small city where it has no chance of coming and block my ears? love the promotional picture thpough, *shivers*

I so want to go to this, but alas fixing my car has swallowed up any hope of doing so. Sigh. Of course they are not coming to Tassi either...

So instead I did the next best thing, buy the DVD (I got the 2 disk edition). It is AMAZING! A must for any War of the World's fan. The extras are equally as interesting. Smile
